EU PVSEC moves to Amsterdam in 2017

The next European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition (EU PVSEC 2017), the leading international Conference in photovoltaics, will be held in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, from 25 – 29 September 2017.

EU PVSEC maintains European mobility. In order to meet its long-term European aspect and character, EU PVSEC sticks to its tradition and mission and returns to the annual autumn timeslot at different European locations.

EU PVSEC follows the requirements of the European research community in the field of photovoltaics. With different locations it strengthens the European idea and the positioning of Europe in the international photovoltaic world.

The EU PVSEC’s upcoming location, The Netherlands, is one of Europe’s strongest solar growth markets with a vibrant PV research scene. “The Netherlands is very pleased to host the EU PVSEC 2017,” says Wim Sinke, Program Development Manager at the Energy Research Centre of the Netherlands (ECN). “Solar energy is considered a key technology for a sustainable energy future, also in our small and windy country. This conviction is clearly translated into our innovation and deployment policies – PV is an important topic in our ambitious innovation program, and large-scale PV deployment is stimulated by several financial incentives for small and large systems, and the PV market has grown accordingly”, adds Sinke.

EU PVSEC is the most important international conference for the photovoltaics sector. For more than 30 years, it has been serving as the annual meeting point for PV experts from research, development and the industry.

Technological innovations, the latest findings in research, strategies, and economical as well as political framework conditions – the future of photovoltaics will be shaped by a unique alliance between research, industry, and politics at EU PVSEC.

The broad scope and high quality of this event’s program is ensured every single year by the EU PVSEC Scientific Committee comprising more than 180 international photovoltaic experts.
